My name is Quinn Strahl, and I am Heidi’s dad.

On May 4, 2024, my life changed forever. I lost my daughter, and I became a different person.

​

Since losing Heidi, I’ve realized how often a father’s grief goes unseen. People would ask how my wife was doing, how she was holding up, and how they could support her. Those questions mattered but I had lost my daughter too.

​

Fathers may carry grief differently. We may not always talk about it or show it in the same way, but that doesn’t mean the loss hurts any less.

​

This fundraiser is about reminding dads that their grief matters too. Funds raised will help Heidi Saint James create resources specifically for fathers after baby loss, including education, conversations around men’s grief through a podcast, and events that bring grieving dads together.

​

So here’s the challenge: for every $100 raised, I’ll run one mile.
