Heidi Saint James exists to support grieving parents by ensuring they receive compassionate, appropriate care during their hospital stay, including access to cooling cots. We also honor each baby’s life by gifting grieving families flower preservations from their funeral as a lasting keepsake. Beyond hospital care, our goal is to foster a society that is not afraid to talk about baby loss. Rather than shying away from conversations about babies who have passed, we encourage people to lean in, speak their names, and remind grieving parents that their baby is remembered and matters.

Changing how baby loss is cared for

Heidi Saint James is a nonprofit that serves Louisiana families experiencing pregnancy or infant loss by providing keepsakes, education, and hospital resources so every family is given time with their baby and never has to grieve in silence.

OUR MISSION

Pregnancy and infant loss is tragically common, yet still very misunderstood and rarely discussed. Many families leave the hospital carrying not only grief, but trauma from how their loss was handled. By supporting both families and healthcare systems, Heidi Saint James seeks to create lasting change by ensuring that no family feels rushed, dismissed, or alone during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Through the creation of healing environments, the gifting of personalized flower preservations, and education to the public on how to support families experiencing loss, Heidi Saint James is changing the way baby loss is cared for.
